Get To Know About Our Interdental Brush Heads

Brush Head Materials

The bristles of our classic interdental brush head are made of soft nylon with antibacterial coating. Each individual bristle comes with a unique triangular shape as opposed to the traditional round shape bristles. We offer cylinder shape and cone shape brush heads. All bristle shapes come with 6 sizes to fit from the tightest to the widest spaces between teeth.

Our brush head wire stem is made of stainless-steel material that provides safe and hygienic between-teeth cleaning.

Brush Head Twisting

We offer various brush head twist and denier (D) specifications depending on the needs of our clients. All of our interdental brush heads are made in house in our headquarter facility in Taiwan. We apply a special twisting technique for twisting the bristle and the stainless wire stem together with automated equipment designed by Yuh Shiuans.

For our denier specifications, we offer a variety of denier counts, bundle counts, and total number of bristle twist counts. For all of our interdental brush heads, we follow rigorous specifications in terms of the diameter and length of the twisted bristles and the wire stem. The tolerance for the diameter and length of the twisted bristles and the stem is ±0.25mm.

Depending on your clientele and market needs, we provide a variety of interdental brush head specifications for your choosing.

How To Select Your Brush Head Size For Your Target Clientele

Customers often struggle to find the ultimate, perfect type of brush head size for between-teeth cleaning. How to select the most suitable and comfortable interdental brush head size for teeth cleaning is never about just choosing one size fits all, it is about knowing the slight differences in your tooth gaps and using the right size for those tooth gaps. Therefore, in order to clean your whole mouth, you may need more than one size to do get the job done and reach the most desirable and comfortable teeth cleaning experience.

Before jumping into choosing a size, it is imperative to understand how interdental brush head sizing works. Brush head size is defined by the minimum tooth gap allowance, meaning the tooth gap allowance for a brush head size to insert through. Interdental brush head sizes are typically measured in millimeters (mm), ranging from 0.6mm to 1.5mm, and typically expressed in 2 forms: one is in size ranging from XXX Small to Large. The other one is in a size ranging from 01 to 06. Typically, smaller brush head sizes are made into cylinder shapes and larger sizes are made into cone shapes.

Handle Materials

Our interdental brush handles are made of food grade plastic materials. Our regular materials include PP, LDPE, TPE, TPR, and biodegradable PLA. TPE and TPR plastics exhibit elasticity similar to that of a cross-linked rubber. We choose TPE and TPR for their flexural fatigue resistance and tear and abrasion resistance. As a result, some styles of our interdental brushes feature bendable brush heads for easy maneuverability. Other than our synthetic plastic materials, we are currently working on developing 100% biodegradable plastic materials for our interdental bristles and wire stems.

Combining The Brush Head And The Handle Material

Tenacity strength is a good indication of what constitutes good interdental brushes. Yuh Shiuans holds several patents in the areas of our techniques in combining the interdental brush head and the handle. The pull strength of our interdental brush is 4 kilos on average, which is approximately 40 N. And the brush head can go in and out of tooth gaps up to 40 times without showing indications of visible wear or breakage.

Handle Styles

We offer a variety of handle designs for our interdental brushes. For most of our interdental brushes, we provide custom logo design services for our clients with terms. The handle styles of our interdental brushes fall into the following three categories: the linear shape design, the angular shape design, and the shorty shape design.

The linear shape handle is most suitable for cleaning the front teeth area. We offer a variety of lengths and widths for the linear shape handle. The linear shape handle is one of the most ubiquitous interdental brush styles on the market.

The angular shape handle is most suitable for cleaning the back of the teeth area since its angular shape is easier to maneuver at a deep angle. The angular shape handle is one of our most requested handle styles in dental clinics and pharmacies.

For our shorty shape handle, we offer various interesting designs to accommodate your target age group clientele.

Cap Design

Each one of our interdental brushes has its very own unique cap. Each cap is designed to provide ventilation for the interdental brush head for between uses.

Packaging Options

Our interdental brushes are capped and wrapped in one of the three packaging materials during automated mass production to ensure hygiene and quality: individual plastic wrapper per 1 count of interdental brush , individual paper wrapper per 1 count of interdental brush, and cello plastic wrappers per 10 counts of interdental brushes. For individual wrappers, we offer a variety of packaging printing designs of your choosing or you may create your own packaging design for your own brand.

After each individual interdental brush is capped or wrapped into one of the three packaging materials, our automated machinery then places these wrapped interdental brushes into packaging containers. We offer four main styles of packaging: plastic containers, blister containers (HSC or Clamshell), resealable zipper bags, and eco-friendly cardboard style containers.

For plastic containers, stickers are used as labels to display packaging design, and the plastic container is wrapped in a shrink film for hygiene purposes. For blister containers, we use cardboard cards for packaging design display. For resealable zipper bags and cardboard containers, packaging design is printed directly on the packaging. We offer packaging design service or you may create custom packaging design for your own brand names or store brands.

We also offer biodegradable materials for our plastic containers. All of our blisters are made of recyclable PET materials and our cardboard style containers are made of 100% paper based recyclable materials. We are currently working on developing 100% biodegradable materials to substitute for our PET made transparent blisters and wrappers.
